We All Play a Vital Role
It’s Monday morning, I have the day off which is much needed after spending a weekend with our youth at camp. I’m sitting here in a coffee and doing some reflecting.
Yes, you don’t get much sleep at camp and you’re constantly going. However, I remind myself that its worth it. I may not be the one who is up front preaching the sermon, I may not be the one who is a discipleship cabin staff… I am the guy in the back who is making it possible for the sermon and musical worship to be heard through the speakers. I am not saying that out of pride, but I am truly honored to be able to use my giftings in that area.
You see, we all play a vital role in the body of Christ.
1 Corinthians 12:14-20
For the body does not consist of one member but of many. 15 If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. 16 And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. 17 If the whole body were an eye, where would be the sense of hearing? If the whole body were an ear, where would be the sense of smell? 18 But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose. 19 If all were a single member, where would the body be? 20 As it is, there are many parts,[b] yet one body.

I believe that even though I wasn’t one-on-one disciplining any students this weekend, I believe I was able to help propel the Gospel forward. Because I was able to assist in the musical worship and preaching, where students hear the Gospel, it had an effect.
If you’re involved in a church community, it’s time to get off the sidelines and jump in the game. You play a vital role in the body of Christ.
Well that’s why I invited you, Best friends working together at Church . . .
